The Hell called Retail

You know what I'm talking about ! Hi, ( big smile ) how are you to today ? No! you misunderstood. I don't mean HELL for consumers, I mean HELL for employees ! The United States Department of Labor reported in 2010 :
Median Pay - $20,990 per year
                    - $10.09 per hour
Requirements - Less than high school
Number of Jobs - 4,465,500
Employment change from 2010 to 2020 -  739,400

So at least 4 million people across the United States are employed in some kind of retail setting. This includes salesperson, parts sales, clothing, furniture parts and repair etc. Median pay $10.09 really the 9 cents does not count ! Median ! some higher some lower, you may say but look at the educational requirements, but have you ever work in retail? Some stores have new employees where a pin "I assist in all departments " - That mean I can go anywhere! Second floor, basement ANYWHERE !

NOW median means some lower some higher ! I believe people on average start at about $7.50 an hour so you can assist in ALL department !

FORGET about that thing called the weekend ! " YOU are required to work Saturdays and Sundays".

DON'T have kids !

FORGET FAMILY time such as CHRISTMAS and THANKSGIVING ! ( Look for an edition of that horrible BLACK FRIDAY !)

DON'T EVEN THINK OF GETTING SICK !

NEVER SCHEDULE ANYTHING unless ... NEVER SCHEDULE ANYTHING PERSONAL
RETAIL DEFINES YOUR SCHEDULE !

ALL that luxury so you can be call B***ch by the customer you could not return the worn jeans. AS you say "Thank you, come again !"
